Our decision to open a Nyonya restaurant and bar in Bangkok stems from a deeply personal journey that intertwines our love for heritage, culinary artistry, and the vibrant energy of this cosmopolitan city.
For generations, our family has cherished the intricate flavors and rich history of Nyonya cuisine. From our grandmother’s kitchen to family gatherings filled with laughter and the aroma of spices, these culinary traditions have been the cornerstone of our identity. Yet, as we ventured beyond the confines of our home, we realized that Nyonya cuisine remained relatively unexplored in Bangkok’s diverse food scene.
Driven by a desire of three partners – two bankers and a retailer – to share our brainchild with a wider audience, we envisioned a space where the timeless elegance of Nyonya dishes would be complemented by the dynamic atmosphere of a bar. Bangkok, with its melting pot of cultures and insatiable appetite for new experiences, beckoned to us as the perfect setting for this endeavour.
